This page is to warn people thinking of booking villa accomadation in the Costa Paradiso, Sardinia, through Rent-Sardinia or Cardis Vacanze Affitti ( Immobiliare Cardis Vacanze ).

We booked a villa in the Costa Paradiso through Rent-Sardinia. When we arrived at the Cardis Agency in-resort we were told that the villa owner had decided to stay on for 2 more weeks!

We were sent to a cramped and dirty apartment for one night and then offered  another villa for the remainder of the 2 weeks. Whilst this villa was larger than the one we had booked (unneccessary for just 2 of us) it was not as well fitted out and it did not have a private pool as we wanted.

The only compensation we received from Cardis was a bottle of wine! Rent Sardinia claimed their responsibility to us ended when we arrived at the resort!

Our experience was, apparently, not unique. I meet a chap from Northern Ireland who had the same experience. He was so dissatisfied that after a week he moved out of the villa and found himself more suitable accomodation elsewhere!

I would  strongly advise people not to get involved with Rent-Sardinia or Cardis.
